Maida - 1 tablespoon
Corn flour - 1 tablespoon

Ingredients

Procedure
Frying corn
- Add the boiled corn kernels to a bowl (If you are having fresh corn, take out the kernels and boil it by adding water).
- Drain the excess water from corn by spreading it.
- Now add 1/2 tablespoon of maid and cornflour and give it a good mix.
- While mixing gently press the corn, so that it opens a bit. This prevents spluttering of corn when frying in oil.
- If you feel water is less and the corn is not getting coated properly add a little bit of water and mix again.
- Add the remaining cornflour and maida and coat the corn really well.
- All parts of corn must be coated with a layer of flour.
- Keep it aside and heat oil in a kadai for frying.
- When you drop the corn it may splutter. If you are trying for first time close the kadai till it fries.
- Once it is done all the corn kernels will start to float and will have a light brown color. At that stage it can be taken out.
- Drain the oil and collect it in a vessel.
For Topping
- Heat a tablespoon of oil and add chopped garlic and onions.
- After 2 to 3 mins add coriander leaves, pepper powder and salt.
- Add the fried corn kernels and give it a good mix.
