Paal Payasam

Hello friends 👋👋👋 Special lunch in home without a payasam? Nah, if you say we had payasam for lunch then that means you had a special lunch. In that order paal payasam stands first and it is one of the favourite for many. It is really simple and quick to make. Let's see the recipe for it.

Total Time : 22 mins

Ingredients

Javvarisi - 50g
Semiya - 50 g
Milk - 250 ml
Sugar - 150 g
Elachi - 3 to 4
Cashews 
Raisins
Ghee


Procedure

  • Boil water in a vessel and add javvarisi. Let it get cooked well. The color will become transparent.
  • If you take out one and press with fingers, you can find whether it got cooked or not.
  • Now add in the semiya. It gets cooked very fast in just a minute or two.
  • Add in sugar and let it dissolve completely.
  • Time to add elachi. Crush and add, so it gives more flavour.
  • Slowly add in milk. Mix it completely. Make sure the consistency is thin. If not add some more milk.
  • Because it gets thick in sometime as it has cooked javvarisi.
  • Turn off the flame.
  • Take a kadai and heat some ghee for roasting raisins and cahews.
  • Add as much as raisins and cashews as required.
  • Fry the raisins first. In a minute or two it gets fluffy. Take it out.
  • Now add in cashews and fry till it becomes slightly brown.
  • Add the raisins and cashews along with the ghee to the prepared payasam.

Tasty paal payasam is ready. Serve it for meal and enjoy the occasion.
